Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma

Recently completed Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification thru Villanova University. Experience with lean training, analysis, research, team building, coaching, and leading implementation. My team builds on objectives of total cycle time and Work In Progress (WIP) improvement. We develop measures and collect baseline data, analyze potential outcomes, define the tasks, and make changes resulting in dramatic improvements to cycle-time using existing resources and capital. As a Graduate Student I developed www.8sigma.com to bring lean thinking resources to the community. These resources are used world wide on a daily basis.

My strategy has fast payback at low risk that demonstrates the potential of lean strategy.  I review existing processes and perform Process-Flow-Analysis. A team is formed to carry out a pilot program. I assess and build the knowledge base for team participation. We establish measures (such as cycle-time-efficiency, floor space, Work-In-Progress (WIP), and customer demand (TAKT)), choose a pilot area based on value-added, and make simple changes to demonstrate improvements. The pilot area becomes a training tool that pays for further implementation. I am a "how to" hands-on professional that can teach lean concepts in context your people can relate to.
